ABOUT LOVE SCHOOL: THE FILM
In the Oak-dotted countryside of Southern Portugal lies the Tamera Healing Biotope, one of the Earth’s most radical social experiments in human futurism.
Tamera picked up where the social movements and utopian dreams of the 1960s’ and 70’s failed - through realizing that “free love” is not just a romantic notion, but the seed of the deepest political revolution of our time. In an era of #me-too, political corruption, and mounting ecological crisis - where extinction could be our collective future - Tamera’s dares to ask and live the question - what power could save this planet if not love? What is revealed may offer keys to a regenerative planetary awakening.
Filmed over four years and with unprecedented access, LOVE SCHOOL is a mythic ethnography, following the world’s most radical social experiment, where a culture of truth and trust in love reveal that the core wounds of humanity can become our greatest gifts - if we learn to set them free.
LOVE SCHOOL is currently in post-production and seeking $60,000 in funds to complete the film.
Our anticipated release date is to be determined, yet anticipated for 2020.
Many intentional communities come together to focus on a common aim, belief or vision, though fall apart or have high turnover due to a breakdown in human relations. They also tend to avoid or repress questions around sex and erotic power.
Tamera, with its 40 years of dedicated research about love and sexuality, nested within a holistic healing biotope, offers the missing piece.
This film will offer a pathway of personal integration for those on the frontlines of eco-activism and social justice movements, who often burn out and lose hope.
LOVE SCHOOL will change the way people understand about living in community, and the necessity of re-awakening holistic “village” relevant to modern times.
